Worse before better

Been spending the last few weeks doing a different sort of craft- wall painting. I have had apple green and sunshine yellow in my living rooms for more than fifteen years.. Wow... Because I liked the colors and because it made the rooms warmer in the winter. At least it felt warmer:)

But suddenly I felt the need to simplify my life. Both by painting the room more neutral and getting rid of stuff! It is healthy, soul wise, to let some things go.

What is the biggest problem with painting walls while living in the apartment? Where to store the stuff while painting. The bookshelves were my constant nightmare for weeks before I decided to start in the smallest section of the room - literally forcing me to paint the bigger part where the shelves are. Today - both rooms are painted!

Now - getting stuff back to its old, or new place. Then the kitchen needs a new color, and the hallway... Darn... Oh well:)

Done and done

Just finished the charm quilt, which is just in time... The confirmation is tomorrow. Not overly pleased about it... I just felt too rushed about it.

On the other hand, I tend to always find fault with what I make:)

Now, back to my knitting needle, before the summer heat arrives and wool gets too hot to knit from.

Flimsy finish and hexagon progress

Battling the daily changes of weather, from warm summer to cold fall... Drives me up the wall! I want spring, spring, spring. Sigh... Anyway, just finished the flimsy of a confirmation gift that needs to be done by next Sunday. It is now basted and waiting to be machine quilted. Starting tomorrow!

And I am trudging along on my hexagon quilt. Made a blooper on the lower left corner, two darks that should not be there. Soon have the length, so just need the width. It has, so far, gained the working title of the supernatural hexagon quilt, as most of it has been made while re-watching the first seasons of Supernatural. Yummy Ackles:)
