Snowdrift jacket
I originally chose this pattern because I am always cold during winter, especially around my neck and on my fingers. These long sleeves, with the cable knit cuffs are just perfect to keep warm.

The crowning glory
I finished appliquing the American eagle block. It turned out quite nice, I think. He loves his '62 Chevy, and I promised I would 'sew' him a model. So I guess the closest I get on a quilt like the Pride quilt is to add the logo in one way or the other. I tried out two versions, and will probably find room for both of them. Turned out pretty good, if I may say so myself:)

Pride of my heart
Just got started, but here are some of the blocks, all in red, white and blue. I have to figure out a way to get the car in there somewhere, though....

White-out in blue
I am not a fan of snow, as cold weather follows in its foot steps, naturally. I am always cold during winter, and I do SO hate that. However, I can't ignore the fact that the colours are sometimes amazing and otherworldly, that the shapes the snow forms over everything makes it look like clouds have fallen down to earth, and that it is easy to believe in fairytales when you go skiing in moonlighted forests at night. Never have I wanted so much to be able to paint as when I see the winternight colours by the full moon light.
And.... it is during winter you can actually look at the sun directly and see its colours. Just look at this!I went home to visit last weekend, and saw my childhood home surrounded by the purple and blue evening colours. And remembered how we used to play outside in the snow until we were cold, wet and could not see a hand in front of us and was guided in to a warm fireplace by the lights pouring out from the windows.

All I made for Christmas....
Anyway - I can finally show you what I made as Christmas gifts this year, sorry - last year. Just gave away the last ones on Saturday. Yeah, yeah, we are late. Travels and such:)Made two of these for two good friends:) It is a Bareroots pattern. Love them. They make for very good small gifts.
A little hard to see all of these, but they are quotes from different Norwegian christmas songs or sayings. And no! it isn't crooked, it just looks like it when it is lying on the floor! From 12 Days of Christmas by Nancy Halvorsen - her variation of twelve lords a'leaping:) A pillow of hearts. Norwegian designer, MarianneZ. I like her Christmas patterns:) Table runner from the same designer. Both of these two went as a gift for a very good friend in America. Hope you liked them:)
